Mortgages interest rates in France reached 3.22% in November, their lowest level since 1945 at the end of the Second World War, according to a study by the l'Observatoire Crédit Logement/CSA (a loan guarantee group in France) published on 3rd January 2013.

Banks have not made their requirements any tighter, and with purchase prices as low as they will probably go, there is no better time or opportunity to buy a property in France and to take advantage of these extremely low fixed interest rates over a long term.

With increased optimism that the economy will improve, interesting exchange rates for non-Euro countries, together with these low French mortgage rates, all is looking very positive for the year ahead.
